Happy Holidays!
We didn't have any doubts that S was going to be anything other than a terrific big sis to her baby brother. But celebrating Christmas for the last time as an only child made us decide that we wanted to make this holiday season an extra~special one for her.
By now, I'm already way into my third trimester. And since I couldn't see, much less touch my toes anymore, I started taking her to the nail salon every couple of weeks for some heavenly foot massage, paraffin wraps and matching pedicures.
I needed to gain another pound like I needed a wart popping up on the tip of my nose. But this apparently haven't kept us from getting into the unhealthy habit of dropping by Dylan's Candy Bar every week to binge on sinfully yummy treats. Edible pink bubbles, pastel colored sidewalk chalk bubble gum, Willy Wonka bars, syrupy colored pens with edible paper, super rich cupcakes topped with butter icing ...
Lastly, P and I told S that Santa was getting her everything she wanted on her wish list this year. Albeit a SHORT list, mind you. Rule was - it shouldn't contain more than 10 items.
She did better ~ she ran out of ideas after jotting down toy # 6.
Come Christmas morning, we realized that she actually didn't need to write past item number one. Upon getting the Wii game console, all of its accessories and 10 games, she ended up placing all her other presents back in their gift boxes and stacking them up neatly in one corner.
Forgotten ~ for the moment.

Alas, doesn't "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" mean anything anymore?
