Steppin' Out: Village Underground

Wanna groove to fantastic live music but unwilling to pay $20 bucks for cover charge fees and shell out more $$$ for pricey drinks?

Just head out to West 3rd Street (bet. MacDougal St. and 6th Avenue) on a Wednesday night and check out the UnionN Band at the Village Underground. They play kick-ass R&B, funk, classic rock, and reggae music.

The show starts at 9:30 PM and ends by two-ish.

For those (as in: us) who think that 2:00 AM is a tad too early to call a night, - the bar/lounge upstairs (Fat Black Pussy Cat) stay open till past three.

Got the hunger pangs at 4 in the morning?

Just take a quick stroll around the corner. The $4.50 shawarma in this tiny falafel joint (Mamoun's - at MacDougal St. between West 3rd and Bleecker St. ) is simply the best this side of town!
